Separation Agreements

A written agreement is the most common way for a divorce action to conclude. This document resolves all of the issues under your divorce and explains the rights and obligations of both parties.

But it may be desirable to enter into such an agreement even if you do not wish to immediately begin a divorce action. It is a contract negotiated between spouses spelling out the conditions of the separation period.

New York Separation Agreements are lengthy documents because there is a substantial amount of required language that protects both parties. It is important to seek the assistance of a qualified lawyer who is aware of the statutory requirements and can draft an enforceable agreement that protects your interests.

If you wish to protect yourself and your children during a period of separation, contact Quattrini Law, PLLC.
